The men-in-blue dominated the first game both with the bat and ball. Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav turned out to be the highest wicket-taker for India. He took a five-wicket haul becoming the first-ever left-arm wrist spinner to achieve this feat in T20Is.
When it came to batting, KL Rahul got his second career hundred. His game-changing 101-run knock led India to victory with 8 wickets in hand.
In addition, captain Kohli became the first Indian and the fastest player (56 innings) to reach the 2000-run mark in T20Is. He also became the fourth player in the world to cross 2000 runs benchmark in T20I after Martin Guptil, Brendon McCullum and Shoaib Malik.
