WATCH: Here's how Dhoni's 'Super Brain' helped to take Shakib Al Hasan's wicket

MS Dhoni proves again that he is the 'unofficial captain' of team India

MS Dhoni may have left the post of India’s skipper but the captaincy skills within him are still intact remains behind the stumps with his wicketkeeping gloves on but he knows how to control the game. Such was the case during the first clash against Bangladesh in the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup.

The incident happened during the 10th over when Dhoni intervened to make Rohit Sharma change the field. Ravindra Jadeja, who returned in ODI cricket after 16 months, was hit for two consecutive boundaries by Shakib al Hasan.

That was the moment when the Tigers had just picked up the momentum but Dhoni came up with the wittiest of his plans. He asked the captain to place Shikhar Dhawan at short leg, which the latter completely agreed to. The very next delivery saw Shakib hitting the ball exactly where the Dhawan was placed and hence gave up his wicket.

Here’s the video:

Well, that was just the beginning for Jadeja as he went on to take another three wickets to have a four-wicket haul in his quota of 10 overs. Since he played a crucial rule in mauling the Bangladeshi middle-order, he bagged the Player of the Match award on his return.

Bangladesh posted 173 runs in 49.1 overs while India successfully chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand and 88 balls to spare.
