MS Dhoni enjoys massive popularity all over the country but especially in Chennai after having led CSK to five titles in the IPL.
MS Dhoni's popularity knows no boundaries. Even though it has been almost three years since his announced his retirement from international, there has hardly been any dip in his fame whatsoever. In fact, it wouldn't be an understatement to say that his popularity has only increased, given that he has led the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to two IPL titles already after his international retirement. More and more people want to have a piece of him be it a commoner or a celebrated figure.
Dhoni was in Chennai recently for the trailer launch of Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd's first venture "Let's Get Married". While he is extremely popular and is literally worshipped as the "Thala" in the Tamil Nadu capital, his fans include celebrities like Vignesh Shivan and Yogi Babu. And now a video has surfaced on social media where Dhoni can be seen having a bit of a fun with actor Yogi Babu.

Talking about Dhoni, while there were some speculation that this would be one final time that he would feature in the IPL, after winning IPL 2023 he said that he wants to return for one more year as a way of saying thank you to his fans who turned out in large numbers wherever CSK played just to catch a glimpse of India's most successful captain ever.

Meanwhile, Dhoni played with a knee injury throughout the IPL but underwent a knee surgery in Mumbai once the tournament was over. It would be interesting to see how he recovers from the surgery and whether his body is ina condition to deal with the exertion of yet another intense and action-packed season of the IPL. Dhoni turned 42 on July 7.
