Only the 212-run stand between Gary Kirsten and Daryll Cullinan against India in Kolkata in 1996 and the 209-run partnership between Hashim Amla and Alviro Petersen again in Kolkata in 2010 are the only two partnerships that are better second-wicket stands for South Africa.
