'Rohit Is Inzamam Of India': Shoaib Akhtar Says Hitman Is Liked More Than Kohli In Pakistan Ahead Of IND Vs PAK Clash
"Today, there are no Pakistanis who say that India does not have a good team," said Shoaib Akhtar while heaping praises for team India's batting.
Shoaib Akhtar, aka, Rawalpindi Express has said that India's vice-captain, Rohit Sharma is liked more than Virat Kohli in Pakistan. He said that they (Pakistanis) call him India ks Inzamam (The Indian version of Inzamam ul Haq). Akhtar was all praises for the Indian batsmen ahead of the T20 World Cup.
Rohit, just like Inzamam is known for the laziness in his shots. Both Inzamam and Rohit do not like to run a lot between the wickets and depend more on boundaries to score runs. Thus, this comparison made by Shoaib has some merit to it.

While talking to Zee News, Shoaib appreciated India's batting lineup. He was speaking ahead of the 24 October clash between India and Pakistan.
"Today, there are no Pakistanis who say that India does not have a good team," he said.
"They (Pakistanis) appreciate it openly. They consider Virat Kohli a great player and Rohit Sharma even greater. People here in Pakistan say, 'he is the Inzamam-Ul-Haq of India'. People appreciate Rishabh Pant for the way he played in Australia. Then there is Suryakumar Yadav. He is being appreciated too. So, Pakistan holds a very good narrative about India."
Apart from Shoaib, even Inzamam Ul Haq said that he was excited for the IND VS PAK contest.
The Indo-Pak rivalry in cricket has become so much more than just the sport. In many ways, it has transcended the Ashes rivalry between Australia and England. Inzamam ul Haq also reiterated this by saying, "The India-Pakistan match is a final before the Final. The hype is immense!"
