Rohit Sharma Century against Sri Lanka Indore T20 Match: India's ODI and T20 captain Rohit Sharma has proved on several occasions that he is capable of batting against any team in both these formats.

In this regard, the 22nd December will be memorable for Rohit Sharma. Rohit had made The Holkar Stadium in Indore a graveyard for bowlers on this day in 2017. It looked like his bat was literally talking to the air. Rohit batted brilliantly here and scored a century in the T20 match against Sri Lanka. His innings also included 12 fours and 10 sixes.

In fact, in 2017, the Sri Lankan team toured India. On this tour, the Sri Lankan team was scheduled to play a series of 3 ODIs, 3 Tests, and 3 T20s with India. After the 2-1 defeat in the ODI series, Sri Lanka had a chance to win the T20 series. But she lost it too by 3-0. The second match of the series was played at Holkar Stadium, Indore on December 22. Rohit was given the captaincy of T20 matches in this series.

In this match, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first, and invited India to bat first. Then there was no looking back... Rohit and Lokesh Rahul took to the field and started showering sixes and fours. Rohit faced 43 balls and scored 118 runs. He hit 12 fours and 10 sixes. Rahul played a brilliant 89 off 49 balls. Rahul's innings included 8 sixes. 

Due to the explosive innings of Rohit-Rahul, India gave Sri Lanka a target of 261 runs. In response, Sri Lankan team was all out for 172 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal took 4 wickets, Kuldeep Yadav 3, Hardik Pandya, and Jaydev Unadkat took one wicket each for India. Sri Lanka lost the match by 88 runs.
