Rohit and Lokesh Rahul took to the field and started showering sixes and fours. Rohit faced 43 balls and scored 118 runs. He hit 12 fours and 10 sixes. Rahul played a brilliant 89 off 49 balls. Rahul's innings included 8 sixes.
Due to the explosive innings of Rohit-Rahul, India gave Sri Lanka a target of 261 runs. In response, Sri Lankan team was all out for 172 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal took 4 wickets, Kuldeep Yadav 3, Hardik Pandya, and Jaydev Unadkat took one wicket each for India. Sri Lanka lost the match by 88 runs.
