Rishabh Pant's 'Garden' Remark About Rohit Will Leave You In Splits: Watch

As test squad, on the way to England, minus Virat and Rohit for the first time, Rishab reminisces Rohit with witty jab on his stump mic recording during India vs England test last year, video.

Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma's on-field banter on "garden" has become an evergreen meme and the India cricket stars are not strangers to the fact. Now, Rishabh Pant's response, alluding to the hilarious conversation, is leaving fans in splits.

Rishabh Pant was recorded responding to a fan's question at the airport before leaving for the England tour. The Indian test squad, minus Rohit and Virat, arrived at the airport to leave for the test series in England where the paparazzi confronted them.

Last year, during the India vs England test series in Vizag, Rohit Sharma was caught on the stump mic telling the squad “Koi garden main ghoomta hua nahi dikhna chahiye (no one should roam around in the garden)", in an apparent rebuke to a sluggish Pant and telling the team that they should show some energy on the pitch and stay active.

Now, Rishabh Pant passed a witty comment about Rohit Sharma in the last England test series today at the airport. When the fan asked Rishabh about Rohit’s whereabouts, Rishab said "Garden main ghoom rahe hai", an allusion to Rohit's comment to indicate that he is retired.

Rohit Sharma also posted on his Instagram a picture with the Indian squad members, captioned "Garden main ghoomne wale" post the series.

This will be the first England series that team India will be participating in without Rohit and Virat. Rishabh also said “Unke garden ko kaise bhool sakte hai (how can we forget his garden)", remembering the time when he played test cricket under Rohit's captaincy, because now, he's hung up his boots.

This Indian Squad is off to England today to play in 5 tests, 20-4 June, 2-6 July, 10-14 July, 23-27 July, 31-4th August, with Captain Shubman Gill and Vice Captain Rishabh Pant, a first since the retirement of maestros Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
