IPL 2025: THIS IPL Fixture Holds The Record For Lowest Aggregate Score Of All Time Till Date
IPL 2025: As we await the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, let's have a look at the fixture that has the lowest-ever aggregate score. Read below.

IPL 2025: Eden Gardens in Kolkata has always proven to be a run-fest for all the Indian Premier League sides over the years. It is the same venue where Punjab Kings chased down the 263-run target with 9 balls to spare.
However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru do not have the same to say for themselves, as April 23, 2017, marked as a Black Day in the cricketing history of the then Virat Kohli-led side.
Fresh from an iconic 2016 season, where they defied the odds and shattered records after records to make into the IPL 2016 Final, only to fumble the ball at the last huddle by choking a cakewalk of a run-chase to succumb to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
What added more salt to the wounds was the fact that Royal Challengers Bengaluru were playing the IPL 2016 Final at their fortress - M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
One year on from their heartbreak, the side came in with a determination to go one step further, but were dealt a huge blow, as Kolkata Knight Riders handed them their biggest thrashing in the history of the league.
Here's What Happened During KKR Vs RCB, Match 27, IPL 2017
Kolkata Knight Riders were led by Gautam Gambhir in 2017, and the then-two-time champions suffered a batting collapse, as their batters faltered apart at regular intervals, and ultimately, were bundled out for merely 131 runs.
Yuzvendra Chahal starred for RCB with 3 wickets, followed by two-a-piece figures from Pawan Negi and Tymal Mills. A modest target of 132 seemed to be a cakewalk for RCB, but what happened later was history.
No RCB batter managed to register double-figures, as the likes of iconic batsmen such as Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, and Chris Gayle failed to fire.
Forget about the half-century from a player, even the whole team's contribution failed to touch the 50-run mark, as the visitors were bundled out for 49 runs.
This humiliation of RCB at the hands of KKR produced merely 180 runs in total, which till date, stands as the record for lowest aggregate score of all time in an IPL fixture.
