Rajasthan Royals (RR) registered a commanding eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in their 10th league match of IPL 2025 last night on Monday (April 28). The inaugural champions chased down 210 runs in just 15.5 overs, courtesy of a sensational maiden IPL century from 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who smashed 101 off 38 balls, including 7 fours and 11 sixes at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

However, the win did not much to their position in the points table, as their chances to qualify for playoffs are pretty bleak. With only 3 wins to their name and 4 games remaining, only a miracle will ensure RR's qualification in the knockout stages.

RR’s IPL 2025 Journey

With 3 wins & 7 losses in their 10 league matches so far, RR's campaign has been pretty absymal. With a Net Run Rate of -0.349, RR need to make sure they win by pretty big margins in their remaining games.

RR's Qualification Scenario

Monday’s win over Gujarat Titans kept RR's hopes of qualifying for the playoffs alive. With 6 points from 10 games, RR sit eighth in the standings & in order to stay in contention for the playoff race, they must secure victory in all four remaining matches convincingly and hope no more than three teams finish with over 14 points.

However, a single loss in their remaining four matches would all but end RR’s playoff hopes. RCB have already secured 14 points, while Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals each have 12 points with at least four games still to play.

RR’s Remaining Matches In IPL 2025

Rajasthan Royals will take on five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their 11th league match of IPL 2025 on May 1 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, before travelling to Kolkata to face defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on May 4. Following that, RR will host Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 12. 

RR will conclude their group stage campaign with a match against Punjab Kings at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 16.
