Pakistan should be taught a lesson, demands Yuzvendra Chahal

We should settle this face to face, even if that means aar paar ki ladaai, said Chahal

The Pulwama terror attack which took the lives of 40 CRPF personnel has sparked a huge uproar in the country. The aftermath of this unfortunate has even raised the voices demanding the boycott of the match against Pakistan in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup, slated to begin from May 30 in England.

Meanwhile, Indian wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal suggested that the country should take strong action to end terror attacks.

“This should settle once and for all. We can't tolerate it any longer,” Chahal said during a TV show.

“Every three months we get to hear about our jawans losing their lives to terrorism and we can't keep waiting for things to happen. We have to make things happen and we should settle this face to face, even if that means aar paar ki ladaai (fight on the battlefield),” he added.

India are scheduled to play Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford in the upcoming World Cup and the 28-year-old leg-spinner said it is for the BCCI to decide if India should boycott playing the arch-rivals in the tournament.

“The decision to play the World Cup match against Pakistan has to be taken by the BCCI and the government. One or two players cannot decide but I think it is high time and we need to take strong action against the perpetrators of terrorism,” he said.

The other fallout of the Pulwama terror attack was Pakistan being ousted from the shooting World Cup which gets underway in the national capital from Saturday. Pakistan's shooting federation has claimed that its marksmen were denied visas by India.

Also, various state cricket associations across the country are removing or covering pictures and portraits of Pakistani cricketers from their respective facilities. It all started with the Cricket Club of India covering a picture of Imran Khan at their restaurant.
