Things have truly been topsy-turvy for Mohammed Siraj, as the ongoing BGT 2024-25 series is arguably headlined by 'Mohammed Siraj Vs Australia', as the Indian pacer is involved in all sorts of on-field controversy.
The Gujarat Titans pacer was slapped with a 20% match fee ban by ICC few days ago, and he has made himself Australia's 'Public Enemy Number 1', with his extremely animated send-off to Travis Head at his home ground (Adelaide) and ball-throwing incident against Marnus Labuschagne at the same venue.
Australian fans in attendance have been heavily booing Mohammed Siraj, and continue to do so in the Gabba Test, but it does seem like the Indian pacer has unshakable confidence, and the Indian fans will be much delighted if the veteran relfects the same in his performances.
'Bails' Tricks Worked In Favour Of India
The 'Bails Switch' incident did end up well for India, as Nitish Kumar Reddy forced the dismissal of Marnus Labuschagne in the next over, and with that, the Australian ended his knock of 12 runs in 55 balls.
The 30-year-old has now scored 81 runs in 4 innings, and will be looking to regain form, as a huge challenge lies ahead of him to complement Travis Head and other fellow Australian batters, if they are to secure their berth in the WTC 2025 Final.
