Mohammad Aamir on Ramiz Raja: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja had said he would 'not take a single penny' during his tenure. Former Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir took a jibe at Ramiz Raja's statement. Amir reacted to Raja’s claim by highlighting the fact that the PCB chairman doesn’t receive the monthly paycheck but gets 'plenty of other benefits'.
Ramiz Raja made this claim at an event on Wednesday. On Ramiz Raja's statement, Amir said the post of PCB chairman comes with benefits, though he is not entirely sure whether that is the case. Amir tweeted, "To the extent I know, PCB Chairman is not paid a monthly salary but gets a lot of benefits. I may be wrong, but this is what I have heard."
While addressing club presidents on Wednesday, Ramiz Raja said he had sacrificed his career to take over the post and did so for the honour. The PCB chief said, "I have come to this cricket board without any salary. I won't get a single penny for the next three years. I have sacrificed my ongoing career to take up this post. The car that I own is a 2008 model. I don't regret the fact that I don't own a big house or a fancy car or money. Sometimes, you need to play an innings for the honour."
Take a look at what Amir tweeted:
