IPL 2025: RCB's Big Worry! Rs 11 Crore Opener Struggles With 9 Runs In Three IND vs ENG T20Is

Phil Salt's extended run of poor form is worrying for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), as they need him to perform well ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made a big investment in England's explosive opener, Phil Salt, during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, securing him for Rs 11.50 crores. RCB had high hopes of Salt opening alongside Virat Kohli, but his recent form has raised concerns.

In the ongoing five-match T20 series between India and England, Salt has struggled, scoring only 9 runs in three T20Is matches.

In the first match, he was dismissed for a duck off just 3 balls. He followed that with 4 runs off 3 balls in the second T20 match. In today's IND vs ENG third T20I match, Salt was out for 5 runs off 7 balls, falling to Hardik Pandya.

This extended run of poor form is worrying for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), as they need Salt to perform well ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Despite his disappointing current form, Salt has been a strong performer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the past.

In last year's IPL, while playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Phil Salt scored 435 runs in 12 matches at a jaw-dropping strike rate of over 182, contributing with four half-centuries. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be hoping that his past form resurfaces soon.
