IPL 2020: Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore Unveil New-look Jersey With Redesigned Logo

IPL 2020: Captain Virat Kohli will be aiming to lead his team to their first-ever title.

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli will be looking forward to ending their title drought, this time with a new-look jersey, as RCB is yet to win their first-ever IPL Trophy in their 12 seasons of participation. The 13th edition of the T20 League was earlier postponed by the BCCI due to the coronavirus pandemic.  ALSO READ | Kedar Jadhav's Cryptic Tweet After Suresh Raina's Departure From UAE Raises Eyebrows

However, ICC postponing the T20 World Cup to next year, allowed BCCI to use the September-November window to conduct IPL 2020 outside India in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took to social media to post a glimpse of their redesigned jersey.

"Time to don the Red and Gold. Face the challenge and #PlayBold. Onto the battlefield we stride. With all our might and all our pride!" RCB wrote while sharing a picture in which skipper Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and other players can be seen in their new-look shirt. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are the three venues selected by the BCCI in UAE where the IPL 2020 will take place from September 19 to November 10.

Commenting on his first training session after almost six months, Virat Kohli said his first training session went "better than expected" but added he was "pretty scared" to hit the nets for the first time in five months.

"(It went) much better than expected, to be honest. I was pretty scared. I hadn't picked up a bat for five months, but yeah it came out better than I thought, to be honest," Kohli was quoted as saying by the RCB's website.

Skipper Kohli witnessed his squad bowlers get back into the groove in the practice session.

"I've trained quite a bit during the lockdown, so I'm feeling quite fit and that helps. Because the body is light and you react better, I feel like I have more time on the ball. That's a big plus," he said.

"Otherwise you come heavier into the season, the body isn't moving as much, and it starts playing on mind, but yeah, as I said it went much better than I expected."
