Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered a dominant eight wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday (October 21) to climb to the second spot in the points table of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB's clinical win over KKR was their seventh in ten games and helped them leapfrog defending champions Mumbai Indians on the second place in the points table With 14 points in their kitty, RCB have drawn level on points with table toppers Delhi Capitals but are placed on the second spot due to an inferior run rate. It is a uphill task for both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals to qualify for the play-offs as they find themselves on the brink of elimination on the back of losing some close games. Meanwhile, 3-time champions Chennai Super Kings find themselves out of the play-off race with just three wins in their ten games.
