SECURITY ALERT: 20,000 Security Personnel Deployed Around Red Fort

Security arrangements have been significantly strengthened around Delhi’s Red Fort for the 80th Independence Day celebrations. Authorities have created a highly secured zone, with only vehicles carrying valid passes being allowed to approach the Red Fort. Other vehicles are being diverted towards Kashmere Gate. Around 20,000 security personnel are expected to be deployed in and around the Red Fort, including Delhi Police, paramilitary forces, SWAT commandos and NSG teams. Snipers have also been positioned on nearby buildings to counter any potential security threat. Inside the Red Fort, hundreds of school students and NCC cadets have already arrived, while around 5,000 special guests from different parts of the country have been invited to attend the ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to reach the Red Fort and address the nation. This year’s celebrations are particularly significant as India marks its 80th Independence Day alongside the 150th anniversary year of Vande Mataram. Attention will focus on PM Modi’s address, especially his message to India’s youth and his vision for a developed India.
