India women vs Sri Lanka women Asia Cup Final: India women's cricket team have made it to the finals of Women’s Asia Cup 2024 for a record 9th time and will face their neighboring country Sri Lanka in the title match on Sunday (July 28) at Dambulla Stadium.  

India secured their place in the finals with a decisive 10-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the semi-final. So far unbeaten in the tournament, India women's cricket team are a strong contender to lift the prestigious trophy under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur.

Who will India face in Women's Asia Cup 2024 Final?

India women's cricket team will face host Sri Lanka in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 Final. Sri Lanka made it to the final with a thrilling 3-wicket win over Pakistan in the second semi-final. Chasing a target of 141 runs, Sri Lanka managed to beat Pakistan with just one ball to spare. Sri Lankan captain Chamari Atapattu played an impressive innings of 63 runs, while Anushka Sanjeevani contributed with 24 runs off 22 balls.

India Women’s cricket team has had a remarkable record in Women's Asia Cup, winning the title in seven out of the last eight finals. They were champions in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2022, and were runners-up in 2018.

In 2024, India are in the finals again, continuing their strong legacy in the tournament.
