India captain Rohit Sharma has delayed his departure for the Australia tour due to his wife Ritika's pregnancy. While he missed the practice sessions in Australia, he was spotted training in Mumbai.
Rohit Sharma is now expected to play in the opening match of IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth. Earlier, there were reports suggesting he might miss 1-2 matches of the five-match Test series against Australia due to birth of his second child. However, it now seems likely that the senior opener will be available for the entire IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar series.
