India Probable Playing XI For IND vs PAK: Team India is set to take on Pakistan in a crucial Champions Trophy 2025 encounter in Dubai on Sunday (February 23). While India started their campaign on a strong note with a win against Bangladesh, Pakistan suffered a 60-run defeat at the hands of New Zealand on home turf.

For Pakistan, IND vs PAK Champions Trophy 2025 match is a must-win to keep their semi-final hopes alive. Meanwhile, India will be looking to extend their winning momentum.

Given the significance of Sunday's IND vs PAK blockbuster clash, skipper Rohit Sharma might consider making a key change in India's playing XI.

Middle order locked and loaded

Veteran opener Rohit Sharma, who has transformed his game since the ODI World Cup 2023 and T20 World Cup 2024, will once again shoulder the responsibility of providing an aggressive start.

He got India off to a flying start against Bangladesh, scoring over 40 runs. His opening partner will be vice-captain Shubman Gill, who was in sublime touch, scoring a century in the last match.

Virat Kohli will hold the No. 3 position, followed by Shreyas Iyer at No. 4. KL Rahul, who will also don the wicketkeeping gloves, is set to occupy the No. 5 spot, further providing strength to India's middle order.

Lower order and a possible tactical change

Following Rahul, all-rounder Hardik Pandya at No. 6 will play a key role as a power-hitter and a fast-bowling option. The spin-bowling duo of Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja will add depth to the batting lineup while handling spin duties.

In a potential tactical shift, leg-spinner Varun Chakravarthy could be included in the playing XI in place of Kuldeep Yadav to add variety against Pakistan's batters.

The pace attack will feature Harshit Rana and veteran Mohammed Shami, ensuring India maintains a balanced bowling attack.

India's Probable Playing XI for IND vs PAK Champions Trophy 2025 match: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana and Mohammed Shami.
