IND Vs ENG: Kevin Pietersen Predicts India To Pose 'Tougher' Challenge For Hosts

India vs England, 5th Test: Kevin Pietersen has labelled India as a tough test for England as the hosts look to avoid a series defeat.

India's Tour Of England: Former England cricketer and sports pundit Kevin Pietersen has predicted the fifth and final rescheduled Test of the England vs India series will be "tougher" than their recent triumph over the current Test champions New Zealand 3-0.

England has been on a roll under Ben Stokes’ captaincy and Brendon McCullum as the new head coach. They have taken a whole new attacking approach in their batting under the Kiwi's guidance. Root, Stokes, and Bairstow are in solid form and have been scoring consistently. India on the other hand holds the mathematical advantage over England as they are 2-1 ahead in the 5-match Test series.

"I certainly expect England to face a tougher test against India, who are packed full of the best players on the planet," Kevin Pietersen told Betway Insider ahead of the fifth and final Test match to be played at Birmingham on Friday.

India has been bowling well in English conditions and the pace attack is one to be watched out for. Also, the spin duo of Ashwin-Jadeja is feared and can do the trick. Kevin Pietersen agreed with the same and said in a Betway Insider article: "India’s bowlers might not mind so much that England are going to come out swinging at them. Ravi Jadeja is an excellent spinner when people start getting after him and you can be sure that Jasprit Bumrah will see it as an opportunity, too."

"England bowled well against New Zealand, but a batting order featuring Rohit Sharma (who will hopefully be available), Che Pujara, Virat Kohli and so on is a different kettle of fish," Kevin Pietersen added.
