'Hundreds Of Indians Were Mourning...': PM Modi Remembers Aussie Spin Legend Shane Warne During Sydney Event

On Tuesday, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a special community event in Sydney with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese. Ahead of the event, he received a traditional welcome at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. During his speech, he talked about the relationship India - Australia sports relationship which both countries have been sharing for a while now.
PM Modi talked precisely about the importance of yoga and how it connects us. "Our lifestyles may be different but now Yoga also connects us. We have been connected due to cricket for long. But now tennis and films are also connecting us. We might prepare food in different manners but Masterchef is connecting us now,”he said.

"Earlier, it was said that India and Australia relation is defined by 3Cs- Commonwealth, Cricket and Curry. Then it was said that our relationship is defined by 'Democracy, Diaspora and Dosti. Some people also said that our relationship depends on Energy, Economy and Education. But I believe that the relation between India-Australia is beyond this, it is mutual trust and mutual respect”, he added.
During a community event in Sydney, Mr Modi also paid tribute to the former Australia great Shane Warne who died after suffering a massive cardiac arrest while vacationing in Thailand.
