In a dramatic IPL encounter on Thursday, teenage sensation Riyan Parag played a sensational 31-ball 47 to put a dramatic late fightback along with Jofra Archer (27 off just 12 balls) that helped Rajasthan Royals recovered from a batting slump to snatch a thrilling three-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders.
Chasing down a target of 176 runs, the Assam’s 17-year-old played without fear and hit five fours and two sixes to turn the match on its head after the Royals were reduced to 98 for 5 in the 13th over.
However, he was bit unlucky as he missed a fifty and being the youngest to hit an IPL fifty. Not only that, he became the 10th batsman in IPL history to be dismissed hit wicket after he clattered his bat into the stumps.
