Gautam Gambhir, India's head coach and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, have been asked to give Ishan Kishan a chance in the Bangladesh Test squad after he was included in the Duleep Trophy Round 2 fixture which got underway on September 12 (Thursday).

Soon after fans noticed that the wicketkeeper-batter was in action, 'Bring Back Ishan Kishan' started to trend on X (formerly Twitter). Notably, Kishan recently made a sensational return to red-ball action by smashing a century in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament. The southpaw was supposed to be playing for India D in Duleep Trophy, however, he sustained a groin niggle which ruled him out from the first round of Duleep Trophy.

'Bring Back Ishan Kishan' Top Trends On X 

"Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the first round of the Duleep Trophy due to a groin injury sustained during the ongoing All-India Buchi Babu Tournament. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring his condition and working towards ensuring a swift recovery," an official release from the BCCI read.

While Kishan was only ruled out of the first round of Duleep Trophy, it wasn't assumed that he would play the second round. 'Bring Back Ishan Kishan’ started to trend online with netizens demanding his return from the Indian team management.
