Australian cricket team's former batsman Dean Jones feels star players KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will now have a great chance to cement their position as a wicket-keeper batsman in white-ball cricket after MS Dhoni's retirement.

Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul have been hailed by cricket pundits as the heir to former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni in ODIs and T20Is. Both young talented cricketers have quite fulfilled that enormous burden of expectation by filling up for Mahi, during his absence.
After team India's semi-final loss against New Zealand in the World Cup semi-final, Dhoni made himself unavailable for selection in team India as he took a self-imposed sabbatical to serve the Indian Army in Kashmir.
As per Dean Jones, with Dhoni announcing his retirement, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will now have a chance to seal their position behind the stumps permanently.

Jones tweeted on Sunday.The two-time World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni on Saturday took to social media to announce his retirement from international cricket. "Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired (sic)", read the post of the formal announcement on Instagram. Dhoni will be seen leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2020, scheduled to take place in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19.After MS Dhoni retirement yesterday...
