'Come On, Ash': Fans React As Ravichandran Ashwin Makes A Comeback In India's ODI Squad For Australia Series

India were already without an off-spinner in the World Cup squad and this could be an opportunity for an experienced spinner like Ashwin to make an entry into the Indian team for the marquee event.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India's squad for the three-match ODI series against Australia on Monday (September 18). While the squad was largely along expected lines, four members of the regular team were rested for the first two ODIs including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya. However, an injury to Axar Patel in the team's Super Four fixture against Bangladesh forced the team to include Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar in the squad.

The Men in Blue were already without an off-spinner in the World Cup squad and thus this could be an opportunity for an experienced spinner like Ashwin to make an entry into the Indian team for the marquee event. Fans have taken to social media to share their opinion on Ashwin's inclusion. While some are happy with Ashwin's inclusion in the side, others have questioned the decision.
