Brisbane Test: Out-Of-Form Prithvi Shaw Gets Roasted By Netizens After His Outlandish Throw Hits Rohit Sharma

Team India have been facing huge trouble in the India vs Australia test series with a spate of injuries and are playing with a depleted team in the ongoing game. During the 4th Test match ongoing at the Gabba in Brisbane, their injury crisis further deepened when Navdeep Saini walked off the field with a suspected groin injury. The pacer suffered the injury while bowling the 36th over of Australia’s innings. He immediately walked off the field with the physio.
When Saini walked back to the dressing room with an injury, fans expected Prithivi Shaw to take the responsibility on his shoulders to fill in his shoes as a fielder. However, an active Shaw who got to the ball quickly unleashed an outlandish throw catching Rohit off-guard as he tumbled down to the ground. Rohit Sharma could have joined the injury list too after the Shaws throw hit him on the knees. The incident took place in the 53rd over when Washington Sundar was bowling to Marnus Labuschagne.

On the second ball of the over, Labuschagne clipped the delivery from Washington towards square leg and set off for a single straightaway. Prithvi Shaw came charging in and collected the ball with one hand before deciding to fire in a throw at the non-striker’s end. But for some reason, he did not spot that Rohit Sharma was standing between him and the stumps.
