BCCI Announces Revised Schedule For IND vs BAN & IND vs ENG T20Is

BCCI has revised the schedule for team India's home matches against Bangladesh and England.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (August 13) updated domestic schedule for the 2024-25 season. The Indian cricket team will begin by playing Test and T20 matches against Bangladesh from September 19.

Following the white-ball series against Bangladesh (home series), India will face New Zealand (home series), South Africa (away tour), and Australia (away tour) from October 24 to January 7. After this, India will compete in a five-match T20 series and a three-match ODI series against England (home series). The BCCI has revised the schedule for home matches.

Change in venue for first T20I between India and Bangladesh

The venue for the first T20I between India and Bangladesh has been changed. Originally scheduled for Dharamshala on October 6, 2024, the T20I will now take place in Gwalior due to dressing room renovations by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA).

IND vs BAN 1st T20I will take place at the newly built Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, marking its first international match since 2010. This is the same venue where Sachin Tendulkar scored his historic double century in ODIs during India-South Africa ODI match in 2010.

Swap in venues for IND vs ENG

BCCI has announced a swap in venues for the first and second T20Is against England. Kolkata's Eden Gardens will now host the first T20I, which was originally scheduled for Chennai. Chennai will instead host the second T20I, which was initially planned for Kolkata. Despite the change in venues, the dates for the matches will remain the same, with the first T20I on January 22 and the second T20I on January 25.
