BCCI Announces Central Contracts: Three Players Secure Grade A

Four players have secured spots in Grade B, and nine have been included in Grade C.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the central contract list for women cricketers, categorizing players into three grades - A, B, and C. Three star players - Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Deepti Sharma - have been placed in Grade A.

Meanwhile, four players have secured spots in Grade B, and nine have been included in Grade C.

Breakdown of the Contract List

Grade-wise Player List:

Grade A: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma

Grade B: Renuka Singh, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Shafali Verma

Grade C: Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundathi Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chetry, Sneh Rana, Pooja Vastrakar

Annual Salary Structure

Grade A: Rs 50 lakh per player

Grade B: Rs 30 lakh per player

Grade C: Rs 10 lakh per player

Upcoming challenges for Indian women's team

The Indian women's team is set to compete in an ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and South Africa, starting April 27. Also, they are gearing up for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025, which will be held in India later this year.
