Australia Announce 15-Player Squad For IND vs AUS T20I Series

Australia team for Ind vs Aus T20 series: A few members of Australia's World Cup 2023 squad have been selected to stay in India as part of Australia's 15-men squad for IND vs AUS T20I series.

Australia squad for IND vs AUS T20I series: Cricket Australia on Saturday (October 28) announced a 15-men squad for India vs Australia five-match T20I series. After the conclusion of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, a few members of Australia's ODI World Cup 2023 squad have been selected to stay in India as part of Australia's 15-player squad for IND vs AUS five-match T20I series.

The five-match T20I series between India and Australia will kickstart with IND vs AUS 1st T20I in Visakhapatnam on November 23. Notably, Australia's regular captain Pat Cummins will return home after conclusion of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. In his absence, wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade will lead Australia vs Rohit Sharma's India. Along with Pat Cummins, first-choice stars Mitchell Marsh, Josh Hazelwood, Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc will too skip IND vs AUS T20I series as they will prepare for the home Test summer against Pakistan and the West Indies.

World Cup squad members Matthew Wade, David Warner, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa, Josh Inglis, Sean Abbott and travelling reserve Tanveer Sangha will remain in India for IND vs AUS T20I series.

"It’s an experienced squad with a mixture of players who have had their first opportunity on the international stage and that we hope will continue to develop into important players in our T20 group," selection chair George Bailey was quoted as saying by ICC.
