Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Chhaava' is doing good business at the box office. ‘Chhaava’ has also become the biggest hit of Vicky Kaushal’s career as a lead actor, surpassing last year’s blockbusters. In its first week, it outperformed ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ (Rs 158.25 crore) and ‘Singham Again’ (Rs 173 crore), both of which benefited from Diwali holiday releases. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ ended its India run at Rs 260.04 crore, while ‘Singham Again’ made Rs 247.85 crore. The biggest Hindi hit of 2024, ‘Stree 2’, had a first-week collection of Rs 275.35 crore, putting ‘Chhaava’ close to breaking more records.
Chhaava becomes tax-free
On Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary on February 19, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav and Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant made an announcement. They declared that Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama ‘Chhaava’, based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will be tax-free in their respective states.
