Watch: Babar Azam's Witty Reply To Reporter's Question About Chat With Virat Kohli During T20 WC

Ahead of the start of Pakistan vs West Indies T20 series, Babar Azam was asked to reveal his chat with Kohli, he had during the World Cup.

New Delhi: Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team created history in recently-concluded T20-World World Cup 2021 by defeating arch-rivals India for the first time ever.

Pakistan had managed to beat India after losing against them in 12 matches. During the toss of that game, Indian captain Virat Kohli and Babar Azam were seen having a chat during the toss and even after the match got over.

Ahead of the start of Pakistan vs West Indies T20 series, Babar Azam was asked to reveal his chat with Kohli, he had during the World Cup. In reply Babar refused to answer his question. PCB's media coordinator also asked the journalist to ask questions related to the series against West Indies.

What did you speak to him about during the World Cup?"

PCB's media manager said: "I am sorry to cut you off. Actually, this is a PCB press conference. If you have any question regarding the West Indies series, only then go ahead."

The reporter then added: "But I don't think this is any controversial question. This is a simple and light question. What was the chat about between the two? I just want to ask about it. If Babar wants to, he can give the answer."

However, Babar decided to not disclose anything about his chat with Kohli and shut the journalist by saying: "Of course, we had a discussion. But why would I reveal it in front of everyone?" quipped the Pakistan captain.

Apart from this, Babar was also asked about Rohit replacing Virat as captain of the ODI team, to which he did not answer.

For the first time in a World Cup match, Babar and Kohli were facing each other as captains of their respective teams. Earlier, when India and Pakistan faced each other during the 2019 World Cup in England, Kohli was leading India, but the captain of Pakistan was then Sarfaraz Khan
