Afghan pacer Zadran to miss test against India

Pacer set to miss Afghanistan's historic test against India as he suffered a knee injury during a practice session in India.

The Afghanistan cricket team has been dealt with a huge blow ahead of their historic test against India as pacer Dawlat Zadran is set to miss the match. The pacer is also set to miss the three T20 matches against Bangladesh scheduled from  3rd June in Dehradun, the ICC released in a statement. The Afghan Cricket Board released the statement that Zadran injured his knee during his training in India and has been advised for at least a rest of a month. Zadran has been in an integral part of the Afghan bowling attack taking 137 wickets in 105 international matches. He had been in tremendous form lately in the ICC World Cup qualifiers as he took a total of 8 wickets in the tournament and even had a hattrick in the practice match. The absence of the pacer is surely going to be a huge loss for the Afghan side but will to cope without him ahead of their historic test match against India. The team has been training at Greater Noida under coach Phil Simmons ahead of these matches.
