OneWeb India-1 Mission: ISRO To Launch 36 OneWeb Satellites Aboard LVM3 Rocket On October 23
OneWeb India-1 Mission: As many as 36 OneWeb satellites will be launched atop the Launch Vehicle Mark 3 rocket (LVM3) or Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV Mk III).
OneWeb India-1 Mission: The Indian Space Research Organisation will launch 36 satellites of OneWeb on October 23, 2022, at 12:07 am IST, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The satellites will be launched atop the Launch Vehicle Mark 3 rocket (LVM3) or Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV Mk III) as part of the OneWeb India-1 mission, or the LVM3 M2 mission.
LVM3 is ISRO's heaviest launch vehicle. This is the first LVM3 dedicated commercial launch on demand through New Space India Limited (NSIL), and marks the entry of LVM3 into the global commercial launch service market.

The cryogenic stage and equipment bay assembly has been completed, ISRO said in a mission update. The 36 satellites have been encapsulated and assembled inside LVM3. The final vehicle checks are in progress. A cryogenic stage uses an oxidiser and a fuel which are gases liquefied at extremely cold temperatures. The vehicle equipment bay is called the 'brains' of the launch vehicle, and is situated on top of the main cryogenic stage. It integrates different systems of the launcher.
ISRO has opened registrations for witnessing the launch of the OneWeb India-1 mission from the Launch View Gallery at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. People interested in watching the launch can register themselves at ivg.shar.gov.in.
The NSIL, which is the commercial arm of ISRO, has signed two launch service contracts with OneWeb, United Kingdom, to launch OneWeb low-Earth orbit broadband communication satellites aboard LVM3.
OneWeb is a London-based global communications network that enables connectivity for governments, businesses and communities, and is implementing a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites.
