Shikhar Dhawan, the seasoned opener, has been sidelined from IPL 2024 due to a shoulder injury.

As per reports, Punjab Kings' spin bowling coach Sunil Joshi has provided a big update on when PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan will return to action.

"His (Shikhar Dhawan's) rehabilitation is on track. He’s doing well. He is not available for the next game. Hopefully, he will be back for the final two games," Joshi said.

If all goes well, Shikhar Dhawan might make his much-awaited comeback to the field when Punjab Kings lock horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday.

In Shikhar Dhawan's absence, England all-rounder Sam Curran has taken over the captaincy duties.

Shikhar Dhawan has so far scored 152 runs in five IPL 2024 matches this season.
