World's richest man Jeff Bezos created history on Tuesday as he blasted into space on his rocket company Blue Origin's New Shepard flight from its Launch Site One in a remote location in the West Texas desert in the United States. (Image: Blue Origin/Twitter)

Accompanied by brother Mark Bezos, Wally Funk, and 18-year-old passenger Oliver Daemen, New Shepard flight safely touched down after approximately 11 minutes from launch. "Congratulations to all of Team Blue past and present on reaching this historic moment in spaceflight history. New Shepard is a fully autonomous spacecraft which didn't have any Blue Origin staff astronauts during its maiden human spaceflight. The New Shepherd's rocket-and-capsule is named after 1961 Astronaut Alan Shepherd. The five-storey high New Shepard rocket has been designed in such a way that it can fly to space with six people.
