US President Donald Trump addressed the House of Representatives after he took office as the 47th president on January 20. During his address, he spoke about the first 43 days of his administration and all the executive orders he signed within this time. Trump began his address to chants “USA! USA!” soon after he said, “America is back”. However, this is said to be a line stolen from his predecessor in the White House, Joe Biden.
According to the Associated Press (AP), Biden repeatedly said in speeches that he told world leaders that “America is back”.
President Trump talked for more than an hour and 40 minutes, breaking the previous record set by President Bill Clinton’s 2000 State of the Union address, which ran 1 hour, 28 minutes.
