'Iran Cannot Have A Nuclear Weapon': Trump Urges Immediate Evacuation Of Tehran

Donald Trump urges immediate evacuation of Tehran, warning that Iran must not obtain a nuclear weapon. His Truth Social post reignites tensions over Iran's nuclear ambitions.

As tensions between Israel and Iran reach a boiling point, U.S. President Donald Trump issued an urgent call for civilians to evacuate Tehran, warning of potentially dire consequences.

The dramatic message came early Monday morning (local time), just before the White House confirmed Trump would cut short his appearance at the G7 summit to "attend to many important matters."

In a flurry of posts on Truth Social, Trump doubled down on his long-standing opposition to Iran's nuclear ambitions. His message was blunt and unmistakable.

"Iran should have signed the 'deal' I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again!" he posted.

"Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!"

Moments later, in a follow-up message, Trump echoed the central theme of his foreign policy stance.

"AMERICA FIRST means many GREAT things, including the fact that, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"

These declarations came as reports surfaced of explosions and anti-aircraft fire lighting up the skies over Tehran. Although Iranian media confirmed the activity, it's still unclear whether the timing coincided directly with Trump’s warnings.

Since Thursday night, Israeli forces have reportedly carried out a series of targeted strikes inside Tehran. While the U.S. has refrained from joining the operation thus far, Israel's campaign appears to be expanding. On Monday, Israeli officials announced that their air force now holds full control over Tehran’s airspace and has widened its focus beyond military and nuclear facilities. One such target was Iran’s state-run television broadcaster.

Evacuation orders have been issued across multiple districts in the Iranian capital, affecting densely populated areas, including the neighborhood surrounding the state TV headquarters. With Tehran’s population estimated at around 10 million—and over 17 million in the greater metropolitan area—the feasibility of a swift evacuation remains in question.

The warnings came around 2 a.m. local time, adding urgency and uncertainty to an already chaotic situation.

Just hours earlier, speaking at the G7 summit in Canada, Trump struck a more diplomatic tone. He revealed that communication lines with Iran were open and hinted at the possibility of face-to-face negotiations. “It’ll be better to talk in person,” he said, expressing optimism that a deal could be reached.

"I think a deal will be signed. I think Iran is foolish not to sign one," Trump remarked at the summit.

He later suggested that serious steps toward a diplomatic resolution could begin once he departed the G7.

"I think Iran is basically at the negotiating table and wants to make a deal. As soon as I leave here, we're going to be doing something," he added.

Meanwhile, Iran has appealed to the United States to step in and help de-escalate the aerial bombardments, which have intensified dramatically over the past few days.
