Truck loaded with Axe body spray cans explodes in Texas; Twitterati take a dig
No one was hurt in the accident but the interstate road was blocked for about eight hours. However, the explosion triggered some hilarious reactions on on micro-blogging website Twitter.
New Delhi: A truck loaded with the cans of body deodorant ‘Axe’ exploded in Texas on Friday at around 4 a.m . due to a fire igniting the highly flammable aerosol cans.
The incident occurred when the 18-wheeler vehicle was driving through Belton, Texas.
As per KXXV-TV, a CNN affiliate, the driver saw the fire in his rearview mirror and detached the trailer from the truck.
Reports have it that no one was hurt in the accident but the interstate road was blocked for about eight hours.
However, the explosion triggered some hilarious reactions on on micro-blogging website Twitter.
The deodorant brand which has often faced criticism for its highly sexist advertisements became the target of mockery on social media for the very reason.
Twitter users could not help questioning ‘where are all the women running in the direction of the wreckage’ as shown in the advertisement.
