Shooting At US University Of Nevada Kills 3, Suspect Dead. Probe On
Shooting on the campus of a University at Las Vegas has killed three and critically wounded one.
Three people were killed in a shooting incident at the University Of Nevada in Las Vegas in the US on Thursday. One person has been critically injured in the incident, police said adding that the suspect was dead. However, it is yet to be clear if the shooter was shot dead by the police or took his own life.
The shooter was identified as a 67-year-old college professor with links to colleges in Georgia and North Carolina, CNN reported.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said, "According to our investigators at the scene, we have three deceased victims and one additional victim in critical condition at a local hospital. The suspect in this #ActiveShooter incident is also deceased. We will update as soon as we can with accurate information."
Sheriff Kevin McMahill said, "No more threat to the community. The suspect is deceased. Right now, we know there are 3 victims, but unknown extent of the injuries. That number could change. We will update you when we know more."
