PM Modi and Xi Jinping begin one-on-one talks at Hubei Museum

Share market in India witnessed sharp rise as the two leaders sit down for their one-on-one talks.

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping began talks at the two-day informal summit  in Central China's Wuhan city on Friday afternoon. The one-on-one talks between the two leaders are being held at Hubei Provincial Museum. The two are expected to discuss matters of global, regional and bilateral importance. There will be no joint statement or communique after the informal summit between Modi and Xi Jinping. The share market of India witnesses steep rise , as the two leaders sit on their first one-on-one talks after the Doklam tension.  Sensex witnessed rise of 300 points and reached 35,000 mark. Nifty too witnessed rise of 82 points. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday late night arrived here for a two-day informal summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He is slated to meet Xi more than six times in the two days. Modi received a colourful welcome by his Chinese counterpart at the Museum.  Cultural programmes were organised to welcome PM Modi. During their summit, the two leaders are expected to work out consensus between the two countries to resolve a host of issues, including the boundary question. Officials said no agreement would be signed during the informal talks.
