PM Modi's Placards Raised In Pakistan! Protesters Demand Creation Of 'Sindhudesh' At Pro-Freedom Rally

The demonstrators sought intervention of world leaders in their demand for creation of a separate Sindhudesh.

Pakistan pro-freedom rally: In an unprecedented pro-freedom rally in Pakistan’s Sindh province, demonstrators raised slogans demanding a separate country and raised placards of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi among other world leaders .The pro-freedom rally was organized in Sann town of Sindh on Sunday.

The demonstrators sought intervention of world leaders in their demand for creation of a separate Sindhudesh.

The rally may add to the woes of an already beleaguered Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is being cornered by the joint opposition alliance with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari eyeing a no-confidence motion against the government.  

Why was the rally organized?

The pro-freedom rally was organized on the occasion of 117th birth anniversary of the GM Syed, who was one of the founding fathers of the country. In what may be a bolt from the blue for the troubled IK Government, is that placards of Narendra Modi were raised during the protests, as the PTI government hounds on an anti-India agenda.

The protesters have claimed that Sindh province is the home of the Indus valley civilization and vedic religion. They have alleged that the area was illegitimately occupied by British forces and was unfairly delivered to Pakistan in 1947.

Hindus in Pakistan:

Hindus form the biggest minority community in Pakistan. According to official estimates, 75 lakh Hindus live in Pakistan. However, according to the community, over 90 lakh Hindus are living in the country.

The majority of Pakistan''s Hindu population is settled in Sindh province where they share culture, traditions and language with Muslim residents. They often complain of harassment by the extremists

 Hindu leader seeks protection  for temple:

Meanwhile, a leader of the minority Hindu community on Sunday demanded protection for a temple in Abbottabad district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province fearing an attack on the place of worship by some mischievous elements who wanted to occupy its land. Hindu community leader Haroon Sarab Dayal said the temple in Havelian city is an old structure and now the land mafia is out to destroy this heritage.
