According to the Indian Army, the Engineer Recce Team—led by the unit’s Commanding Officer and consisting of one officer and five personnel—has been deployed to evaluate earthquake-damaged infrastructure in the Mandalay and Naypyitaw regions.

The deployment marks a key phase in India’s ongoing efforts to assist Myanmar after the devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit the country on March 28. The team has been carrying out a thorough assessment of damaged structures and facilities, offering essential technical input to support the ongoing relief and reconstruction efforts.
