In a captivating incident during the ‘Stop Asian Hate’ march in New York City, a man asked one of the protestors for her Instagram handle so that he could tag her in a photograph without realizing that he was talking to none other than international pop sensation Rihanna.
Without saying anything the Barbadian singer politely obliged – leaving her fellow protester visibly puzzled. “That's you?!” the man turned to the singer in shock after looking closely at the account. Rihanna burst out laughing following the incident. A clip of the exchange, which reportedly took place on Monday, has gone viral on social media.

The ‘Stop Asian Hate’ march took place as hate crimes against Asian Americans have been on the rise recently.
Earlier last month, a gunman shot and killed eight people, including six Asian women, at three different massage parlours in Atlanta, Georgia.
Stop AAPI Hate, a coalition documenting anti-Asian discrimination, condemned the reported shootings of multiple Asian American women in Atlanta stating “this latest attack will only exacerbate the fear and pain that the Asian American community continues to endure”.
