India Schools Pakistan Over Kashmir Issue At UN: 'Frequent References Will Not Validate…'

India's UN representative denounced Pakistan's "fanatical mindset," calling their claims on Kashmir unjustified and emphasising that cross-border terrorism will not be tolerated.

Denouncing the “fanatical mindset” of Pakistan, India’s Permanent Representative P Harish told Islamabad that ranting about Kashmir in international forums will not justify cross-border terrorism or change the reality of the region behind an integral part of India.

According to news agency PTI, Harish reacted on Friday to Pakistan’s former Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua bringing up Kashmir during an informal meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.

“As is their habit, former Foreign Secretary of Pakistan today has made an unjustified reference to the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir”, Harish said.

Harish said that frequent reference will not validate their claim or justify their practice of cross-border terrorism. He also said that the fanatical mindset of the nation is well known, as is its record of bigotry.

“Frequent references will neither validate their claim nor justify their practice of cross-border terrorism”.

“The fanatical mindset of this nation is well known, as also its record of bigotry”, he said of Pakistan.“

Harish also asserted that such efforts will not change the reality that Jammu Kashmir was, is, and will continue to be an integral part of India.

“Such efforts will not change the reality that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will always be an integral part of India”, he declared.
