'I Divorce You' x 3: Dubai Princess Declares End Of Marriage On Instagram

Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's post suggests infidelity as the reason behind the divorce.

The daughter of Dubai’s ruler has announced her divorce on social media.

In an Instagram post, Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum “declared” her divorce from Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. The couple got married in a lavish ceremony in 2023, and welcomed a child two months ago.

Her post suggests infidelity as the reason behind the divorce.

The princess addressed her husband directly in the post, which read — “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you. I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.” Her post was in line with the controversial Islamic practice of triple talaq, which has been used by men to issue instant divorces to their wives. The practice has been banned in many Islamic countries.

On social media, the couple have unfollowed each other, and both seem to have deleted all images of each other from their accounts. People began speculating about trouble in the couple's relationship after a cryptic post in which Sheikha Mahra was cuddling her newborn, with the caption, “Just us two”.
