 Triumph Motorcycles India Recalls Street Triple RS

The British motorcycle manufacturer has issued a recall for approximately 100 units of the Street Triple RS owing to a faulty left-side switchgear.

The left-hand switchgear is expected to malfunction due to water seeping into the internals, which, in turn, may cause the indicator and headlight to stop working. Triumph has stated that every customer will be contacted proactively through their respective dealership network in order to get the problem rectified, at no extra cost.

Triumph USA had similar issues where the manufacturer recalled over 1200 motorcycles, including the Triumph Street Triple R, Triple S and the Street Triple RS.

 

Official Statement -

Triumph Motorcycles India is in the process of launching a safety recall concerning the left-hand switch cube on certain Street Triple RS to remedy an indicator and main beam malfunction caused by water ingress into the switch cube internals. Approximately 100 motorcycles are affected in India. In due course of time, the brand shall be proactively contacting the customers through their respective dealership network for all the necessary actions.
