Tajinder Bagga Attacks Delhi CM, Says 'Kejriwal's Attempt To Kidnap Me Shows How Scared He Is'

The Punjab and Haryana High Court, while hearing on Tuesday, had stayed the arrest of BJP youth leader Tajinder Singh Bagga till July 5.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has strongly attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday saying, "The hooliganism demonstrated by Delhi's Chief Minister can only be described as abduction. It demonstrates his fear." "Whoever speaks against Arvind Kejriwal, police is used to quieten them — whether it is Preeti Gandhi, Naveen Kumar, Kumar Vishwas, or Alka Lamba," Bagga said. The Punjab and Haryana High Court, while hearing on Tuesday, had stayed the arrest of BJP youth leader Tajinder Singh Bagga till July 5. On Wednesday, Bagga held a press conference in Delhi regarding the allegations levelled against him.

“No case has been made out in the FIR. If there is such an allegation then FIR should have mentioned that I tried to disturb the peace in Punjab. The FIR said that I threatened Kejriwal with death. I didn't threaten to kill anyone. It was just a colloquial expression,” Bagga said as reported by India Today.

"I will continue to ask Kejriwal questions whether one or 1,000 cases are registered against me," said Bagga at the Delhi BJP office.

Bagga said during the press conference that the order given by the Punjab-Haryana High Court proves that this country is run by law.

"I was arrested like a terrorist. Was it my fault to ask Kejriwal about his promise to arrest the accused in Guru Granth Sahib's sacrilege, was it my fault to ask him about action against drug mafia and separatists raising slogans of Khalistan in Punjab," the BJP leader said.

According to the FIR registered in Mohali, Tajinder Singh Bagga is facing charges for allegedly making provocative statements on social media, promoting religious enmity and criminal intimidation. Earlier on Friday, Punjab Police had arrested Tajinder Bagga from his house in Delhi, but on the way, with the help of Haryana Police, Delhi Police was able to rescue Bagga.
