PM Modi Visits Adampur Air Base, Interacts With Air Force Personnel

PM Modi visited Adampur Air Base, dismissing Pakistan's claims of its destruction. He was briefed by Air Force officers and interacted with personnel, reaffirming India's strong defense posture.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid an early morning visit to the Adampur Air Base in Punjab today, where he was briefed by Air Force officers and interacted with the personnel stationed there. This visit comes amidst the tensions between India and Pakistan following the Indian Armed Forces' airstrikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) during the night of May 6–7 under "Operation Sindoor."

The Adampur Air Base had been one of the most focused issue in this time after Pakistan claimed that their armed forces had successfully destroyed the facility during an alleged strike. However, PM Modi’s visit today served as a clear message that no such attack had occurred.

A source present at the base revealed, “PM Modi went to the Adampur air base early morning. He was briefed by Air Force personnel and he also interacted with our brave jawans.”

This marks the first time that Prime Minister Modi has met with armed forces personnel following the airstrikes on terror sites in Pakistan, as part of India’s ongoing operations in the region.

The visit comes after heightened tensions, with Pakistan attempting to attack Adampur on the intervening night of May 9 and 10 in retaliation to India's Operation Sindoor. This period has been one of intense conflict between the two countries, with both sides reaching an understanding on Saturday to cease all firing and military actions on land, air, and sea, effective immediately.

In a national address on Monday, Prime Minister Modi delivered a stern message to Pakistan, warning that India would not succumb to "nuclear blackmail" and asserting that "terror and trade, terror and talks cannot go together."

"Today, I dedicate their courage, their bravery, and their heroism to them. I also dedicate this heroism to every mother, sister, and daughter of our nation," Modi said, paying tribute to the courage of India’s Armed Forces. He further extended his gratitude to India’s intelligence agencies and scientists for their role in the successful execution of the operation.

Modi also expressed his appreciation for the country's capabilities, stating, “We have seen the country's capabilities and self-restraint in the last few days. First of all, I would like to salute our armed forces, intelligence and our scientists on behalf of every citizen.”
