PM Modi Mourns Sushant Singh Rajput's Death, Says "Young Actor Gone Too Soon"

As soon as the news broke out, people from all walks of life poured in condolences upon his demise. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his shock and extended sympathy saying "A young actor gone too soon."

Bollywood Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide has left the nation in shock. The 34-year-old actor reportedly hung himself at his  Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. The actor was living alone during the lockdown and it is reported that he wasn't feeling well for a few days. Taking to the official Twitter handle, PM Modi tweeted: "Sushant Singh Rajput...a bright young actor gone too soon. He excelled on TV & in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many & he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family & fans. Om Shanti" Besides Prime Minister, people from film and sports fraternity also mourned Sushant Singh's demise. Ekta Kapoor, Mahhi Vij, Jay Bhanushali, Hina Khan, Divyanka Tripathi and other TV celebs took to social media to express grief upon his death. Everyone wondered why a talented actor like Sushant Singh Rajput had to take such a drastic step. Sushant Singh Rajput's last Instagram post was on 3rd June as he wrote a few lines remembering his mother,"  Blurred past evaporating from teardrops, Unending dreams carving an arch of smile and a fleeting life, negotiating between the two." Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the renowned actors of Bollywood and has featured in films such as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kai Po Che, Kedarnath, Chhichhore. He started his acting career with Television show Pavitra Rishta. He was last seen in 'Drive' opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. The film released on Netflix after a long delay.
