Partial Lunar Eclipse 2019: Here Is How Sky-Enthusiasts Can Watch The Celestial Phenomenon

It is a golden opportunity for the sky enthusiasts in the country as the eclipse will be visible almost throughout the night.

New Delhi: Wednesday wee hours will be a definite treat for the skygazers as the three-hour-long partial lunar eclipse of 2019 will be taking place. While most of the people are excited about witnessing the eclipse there are many who follow some religious beliefs and prefer staying indoors. However, for those who cannot stop themselves from treating themselves to this rare celestial feat, here are the details about when, where and how to watch the phenomenon. When to watch: This week’s lunar eclipse will get visible from 1:31 am. It will reach maximum eclipse at 3 am. The Moon will remain partially eclipsed till 4:29 am on Wednesday. So it is a golden opportunity for the sky enthusiasts in the country as the eclipse will be visible almost throughout the night. Where to watch: The lunar eclipse will be visible from almost all the places of India. It will take place in the middle of night, the time perfect for watching celestial phenomenons. How to watch: The research and academic director of M P Birla Planetarium in the city, Debiprosad Duari, was quoted as news agency PTI as saying that the eclipse is completely safe to view with the naked eye. One does not need a telescope to watch the lunar eclipse although a good pair of binoculars will enhance the experience. However, monsoon clouds may come in between the celestial sight and can play a wet-blanket for the sky enthusiasts. Live stream: Several websites and YouTube channels will be running live-stream of the eclipse.  For instance, Time and Date, which tracks global time zones is a Norway-based site which will live stream eclipse.
